Okay, I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. The internet is pretty vast and there are lots of interesting things on the net that I think my friends and readers would enjoy. Whether you are an avid procrastinator like myself, have a job where you can surf the web all day, or you can break away for a few minutes each day to scan the web, I think some blogs are worth reading on the regular.
Well, let’s get to it. First on my list is Rickshaw Diaries. This is a wonderful blog that explores one Muslim woman’s personal journey. She shares with us her personal struggles with Devic’s, her experiences as a South Asian Muslim woman, and her striving to be a complete human. Every time I read the blog I feel inspired. Those are the people we need to be around, people who inspire us to do better and be better.
So, if you don’t know, now you know. Check it out.
Being a whole person with complete knowledge about life and all its many dimensions has brought me to conclude one thing. Happiness is not about getting things, it’s about being happy with what you got. Sharing your good qualities with others is what others want to see.

i never told anyone this but Baraka sent my baby a gift when she was born…my husband and i are in a third country, meaning not mine and not his, with no family and it is a busy big city so we have few close friends. having a baby is a really special time in someone’s life and we were all alone, and i was so completely touched that beautiful Baraka took the time to do this for me and my baby girl, me being an online friend but virtual stranger. i just wanted to share this because i know she is humble, but she deserves the recognition for being the great sister that she is, mashallah! and yes, her blogs is one of my faves, too

I love Rickshaw Diaries too. Baraka is thoughtful, intelligent and above all has such generosity of spirit. I consider myself fairly well read, and some of the most beautiful things I have ever read, in content and style, are by her, on her blog.

As salaam alaykum,
Rickshaw diaries was one of my favorite blogs. I didn’t realize that my dear sister had returned from her hiatus. Thank you for the notice. I’ll def. be adding her to my daily blog rotation.
